How much should I budget per day for extras?
Around €25 -30 a day should be plenty, but this is guidance only as you know your spending patterns better than we do. If you are planning on buying gifts and souvenirs, remember to budget extra for these.
Is it customary to tip?
A tip of around €5 per day for the Pack Leader would be appreciated but is not at all compulsory. Many Flashpackers choose to keep a kitty and give this to the Pack Leader at the end of the trip.
For restaurants and bars, it’s normal to tip around 10%, but this is at your discretion.
