Do I get an arrival transfer?
You will not have an arrival transfer because Charles de Gaulle airport is very well-connected to the city via public transport, which is an easier option. We suggest taking the train to Gare du Nord – this will be the quickest and cheapest option for you. Your dedicated Trip Expert can, however, arrange an arrival and departure transfer for you, but please note that this is an optional extra and not included in your adventure.
Do I get a departure transfer?
A departure transfer is not included, however, the journey to the airport only takes around 30 minutes. Uber is available in Nice or a taxi can be booked from the hotel. We recommend that Flashpackers share taxis if they are heading to the airport at similar times. You can also take a bus, it’s a good idea to check the best route with the hotel before setting off.
How long is each of the transfers?
Taking a train from Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) is a great arrival transfer option. The RER B train runs from Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) every 10 to 20 minutes, and takes around 50 minutes to reach the city centre. Tickets cost 10€ EUR one-way, and can be purchased at ticket booths in the arrivals terminal. Alternatively, a taxi should take around 45 minutes and are readily available from outside of the terminal.
The longest transfer you’ll take is around 3 hours, between Paris and Aix en Provence.
The drive from Aix en Provence to Cannes will take around 2hours.
From Cannes it will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Nice.
You can take a 12 minute taxi to Nice airport at the end of your trip, it should cost around 32€ EUR. Alternatively you could take the the Nice Airport Express Bus or a public bus, the #99 is the quickest, taking around 15 minutes. It will transfer you to Nice airport via the Promenade and costs around 6€ EUR. Please check with your hotel which bus is the best one for you to take.
