Do I need to be able to swim or ride a bike?
You will need to be confident on a bike and in the water to take part in certain activities.
If you’re unable to take part in an activity, your Pack Leader can help you to find alternatives on the day. We recommend having a chat with your Trip Expert if you feel unsure whether you will be able to take part in any activities prior to your trip.
Which location is best for buying gifts and souvenirs?
There are many souvenir and gift shops in the colonial area of Quito. You’ll also find shops on the Galapagos islands, however these will be more expensive. Your Pack Leader will be able to offer more in-depth information depending on what you’re looking to buy.
What time do the activities start on each day?
Your days can begin quite early on this adventure. Your Pack Leader will let you know the start time and plan for each day the night before, but please bear in mind that you may start as early as 5:00 for an early flight to Baltra.
How long is each activity?
Each activity is different and they will vary in length between 2 and 8 hours.
You can use your app to see a more detailed itinerary before your adventure begins. You’ll also be reminded of the itinerary at the welcome meeting.
I don’t know how to swim, is there an alternative activity?
Life vests are provided for water activities, however, if you’d rather not get wet your Pack Leader can arrange a panga boat ride as an alternative activity. Please let your dedicated Trip Expert know if you have any concerns about any of the activities included on your trip.
What is there to do during the free time?
Your Pack Leader can arrange optional excursions that you can join at an additional cost and there will be opportunities to explore on your own or with your fellow Flashpackers. The Galapagos is a world famous beach destination, here you can relax on a white sand beach with a book or explore the secrets of the island.
