What should I pack?
The weather in Scotland is notoriously unpredictable, so you should check the weather forecast before your trip and pack accordingly. You will need warm layers that you can put on and take off when required. You should also bring waterproofs as it can rain at any time of the year.

What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?

What’s the luggage allowance?
Your luggage weight allowance will be specific to your airline but it’s also worth making sure that you can comfortably carry your baggage.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
It’s up to you whether you bring a suitcase or backpack. We recommend bringing whichever you find more comfortable because you’ll need to be able to carry your baggage.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
Wall outlets in Scotland accommodate three pin plugs with square pins, known as type G.
You will need to bring an adapter with you if you’re travelling from a country that doesn’t use this plug types.
