This action-packed adventure has a different itinerary every day, your tour guide will be able to advise you on the scheduling at the welcome meeting.
How long is each activity?
With such a wide range of activities and differing abilities within groups, it’s difficult to say for sure, however, the Tineri app will give you a rough idea of how long each activity is and your guide is there to advise locally.
I don't know how to ride a bike, is there an alternative activity?
Yes, we can arrange an alternative activity. Whilst the rest of the group tours with a local guide, you and any other non-cyclist will have a personal walking tour of the city with the tour leader.
I don't know how to ride a bike, is this trip for me?
Yes, sure! There are just 3 hours of biking and we have an alternative without extra cost which is walking tour.
What should I wear when kayaking?
Shorts, flip flops, t-shirts, leggings. You should take an additional pair of bottoms to change at the end since you will probably get a bit wet.
I've never been tubing before, is this an activity for beginners?
Yes, luckily there are no real skills needed for tubing, just a willingness for adventure. There will be a trained safety guide on hand, so hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
I don't know how to swim, can I go tubing?
Yes, this is a very chilled out activity, it’s basically just floating along in an inflatable ring as the gentle current pulls you downstream. There will be lifejackets provided should you need one.
What shoes should I wear for the trek?
A good pair of closed shoes with good grip will be fine.
What clothing is recommended for the trek?
Ideally you should wear light long sleeve t-shirts and long pants, there are quite a few bugs and mosquitoes in the jungle, so best to cover up.
What do I need to carry with me on the trek?
It’s a good idea to bring with you some water, mosquito repellent, suncream, sunglasses and a hat.
What is the difficulty level of the trek?
This is a very gentle hike, with one or two spots that have a bit of an incline.
What is the gradient of the trek?
From 1 to 5, 1 being very low and 5 very hard, the trek gradient is about a 2.
How long does the trek take?
This will depend on your groups ability, but the trek can take anything from 3-5hrs.
What is there to do during the free time in Cartagena?
There’s plenty to do and see in Cartagena, if you speak with your local guide, they will be able to give you the low down of all the best places to hit.
You could arrange a tour to Popa Monastery, San Felipe Castle and San Pedro Claver Church or just enjoy the beach, there are shopping centres and markets where you can buy local handicrafts.
If I choose not to do the salsa class is there an alternative activity?
Sure, if you choose not to take part in the salsa class, your tour leader can accompany you to enjoy an ice cream or take you to a good restaurant to have dinner, or you could just enjoy some chilling out time with a good book.
What do I need to bring with me on the Rosario Islands cruise?
In your daypack, you should have, sunglasses, suncream, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirts and a towel.
