What should I pack?
There will be a thorough packing list on your Tineri app that we will send in advance of your trip, but it’s a good idea to have good outdoor shoes, hiking boots for the glacier hike. This is not the time to break in new shoes/boots, take boots that have been worn in a little, this will help avoid any blisters and calluses.
Wearing layers is always better than bringing a huge jacket that is uncomfortable to walk in.
What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?
Bear in mind that if the sun is out, the reflection from the glacier is stronger than you think, so bring sunglasses and sunscreen is highly recommended.
What's the luggage allowance?
One large bag and a day bag should be okay, but please check with your airline when booking flights.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
You can bring a suitcase, no problem. We recommend bringing a rucksack or small backpack for your daily essentials (e.g. camera, wallet, medications, extra clothing layers, a bottle of water, etc.) since you may not have easy access to your suitcase during the day as you travel between accommodations. It can also come in handy for hiking excursions or picnics.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
Iceland uses the standard European two-pin plug system, so you will need an adaptor if you come from a country that does not use this system.
What happens to my luggage in between excursions?
Your luggage will be at the hotel or on in locked vehicle while on the day tours and excursions.
