What time do the activities start on each day?
This will depend on the itinerary for the day. The guide will decide the exact time based on their experience and the weather.

I have allergies, will these be catered for?
The cooking class can cater for most allergies, please contact us before you travel so we can inform the pack leader.
I suffer from altitude sickness, is this trip for me?
You should consult your doctor whether this trip will be suitable for you, as the chances of altitude sickness are high.
Will there be a guide on the trek?
Yes, an experienced leader will accompany the group throughout the trek.
What do I need to carry during the trek?
You will be provided with a full packing list on your Tineri app, but it’s always good to carry in your day bag:
sunscreen, lip balm, sun-hat, sun-glass, water bottle, camera, battery, thin waterproof jacket.
What hiking kit do I need?
A detailed packing list will be provided in your Tineri app.
Will I need crampons? Do I need to purchase them or will they be provided?
Basically, you don’t need crampons on this trek. However, if there is any snow during the time of the trek your local guide will advise you. Crampons can be bought locally at Thamel.
What is the hardest day of the trek and how far is it?
Day-4 Phakding to Namche
Day-8 Thame to Kongde
are comparatively the hardest days as they have the steepest ascents and can be a little challenging, but if you have a moderate level of fitness you will be fine.
What is the gradient of each trek?
The gradient of the trek is a gentle slope throughout, however days 4 & 8 have a few comparatively steeper ascents.
How long does each trek take?
The trekking will be around 5-6 hrs long each day, with breaks for lunch, coffee and taking in the views.
Is there time built into the hikes to acclimatise to the altitude?
Yes, the trip has been designed to have acclimatization days in Namche and Thame before you go to higher altitudes.
How cold does it get at each stage of the ascent?
Temperature will decrease by around 4-5 degrees centigrade as you ascend, so make sure to pack thermals and fleeces.
Can I decide whether to do the optional Farak Ri viewpoint trek on the day?
Yes, you can arrange it with your tour guide on the day.
What food will be provided on the trek for lunch and dinner?
There will be a varied selection of foods available, if you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.
