What is the local currency?
The local currency is Swedish Kronor (SEK).
Should I change money before I go?
Credit cards are widely accepted in Sweden so there is no need to carry large sums of cash in the local currency. Please note that there is no exchange service available at the hotel but you can find ATM’s in the town centre.
How much should I budget per day for extras?
Around £40 - £50 a day should be plenty, but this is guidance only as you know your spending patterns better than we do.
Is it customary to tip?
It is not customary to leave a tip but if you find the food or service great then it is appreciated. How much to tip depends on the amount of the bill, generally 10% is a fair amount.
Then for your guide and driver, it is customary, though not compulsory to tip them around £8 - 10 a day, this would normally be given at the end of the adventure and is completely up to you and whether you feel they have earned it.
