What should I pack?
There will be a full packing list in your Tineri app to help you before you depart. If you stick to these principles you’ll be fine:
The key to dressing for a cold climate is layering.
First is an insulating layer, thermal underwear, then secondly a warm layer of wool rather than cotton and lastly a waterproof outer layer. A decent winter hat that covers your ears and keeps your head warm and waterproof and well-insulated gloves will have you fully prepared for the subarctic climate.
What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?
Thermal underwear will make being outside more comfortable for you.
What's the luggage allowance?
One large bag and a day bag should be okay, but please check with your airline when booking flights for any weight restrictions.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
You can bring a suitcase or a backpack depending on your preferences. We recommend bringing a smaller bag or backpack as a day bag if you want to pack an extra sweater on one of the excursions during your stay.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
Sweden uses the rounded two-pin power sockets, type F, which are used throughout most of Europe. You will need an adaptor if you come from a country that doesn’t use this system.
What happens to my luggage in between excursions?
You should leave your luggage locked in your room during the excursions and only bring a day pack with you, with the essentials for the day.
