Are there hairdryers?
Yes, most hotels will have a hairdryer.
Will I be able to do laundry?
This is quite a fast paced trip so you need to be organised if you plan on doing laundry. The hotels where we stay for 2 nights are your best bet, but it’s always good to pack enough clean undies (just in case).
Will the hotels have toiletries?
Not all hotels will be able to provide toiletries, you will be able to purchase some basic products from the local pharmacies, but if there is a specific brand or product you prefer, it’s advisable to pack it in advance.
Can I have an early check in on the first day since my flight lands early?
Check in time is at 3pm. Please be aware that if you arrive an hour or two before check in that our hotels will always try their best to get you in a room straight away if available.
Can I continue using the hotel facilities after check out on the last day since my flight departs in the evening?
Check out is 11am, after that you can leave your luggage at reception and can use the communal hotel facilities.
Is there wifi at the hotels?
Internet access is restricted for Cubans but tourists have full access to the internet, with facilities available in most hotel lobbies or business centres. However, the price is high and the connection often excruciatingly slow so you should be prepared to not have access. You can buy internet cards from the hotels which are sold at around 10 CUC for around one hour’s usage. The cheapest facilities are available at around 5 CUC though you can safely expect price related performance. Mobiles must be tri or quad band and you will need to check with your service provider as to whether they have roaming services available in Cuba to avoid finding yourself not being able to make or receive calls during your stay. There are facilities to make calls back home from hotel business centres but expect high charges.
