What's the weather like?
Cuba is a tropical country and therefore it is hot almost all year round with some variation in temperature and weather conditions.
The rainy/ hurricane season traditionally falls between June and November so it is likely that you will encounter tropical rainfall and storms during these particular months although they do not last long. Hurricanes are rare and do not happen each year – the last two were in 2012 and 2017.
August to October are the hottest months with temperatures at around 32 °C and high levels of humidity.
November to April is cooler with much lower humidity. It is quite warm and pleasant by UK standards with temperatures around 25°C or 26 °C. At this time of year there are occasional ‘cold fronts’ where temperatures can drop to as low as 12.0 °C. With climate change it is difficult to say how often these will take place but generally they are short spells lasting only a couple of days.
