What time do the activities start on each day?
This will depend on the itinerary for the day, you will have a full itinerary available on your Tineri app before the trip. Your guide will decide the exact time based on their experience and the weather.
If I choose not to do the kung-fu class is there an alternative activity?
Our guides will be able to give you guidance about the best places to check out or the nicest coffee shops to kick back and chill in.
Will the cooking class cater to my allergies/diet?
Yes, the cooking classes can be tailored to suit allergies and diet restrictions, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Please contact us before you travel so we can inform the pack leader.
Do I need hiking boots?
We recommend bringing sturdy, comfortable, closed shoes for activities.
It’s a good idea that they’re not brand new. If you would like to bring hiking boots as your sensible shoes, then by all means do! However, they are not a necessity.
Do I need to wear insect repellent?
We advise you to take insect avoidance measures at all times to avoid any risk of mosquito-borne illnesses. This is especially important during the hot summer months when mosquitos are a lot more common.
Will there be a lot of smog in Beijing?
Generally speaking, Beijing probably has more smog than you’re used to back at home. However, the level of smog in Beijing varies from day to day. Some days it is quite bad, but other days you’ll wake up to a clear blue sky, so it really depends. If you are worried about the smog, nose and mouth masks are easy to pick up across the country.
