What is the local currency?
The currency in Austria, and Slovakia is Euros (EUR).
The currency in Poland is Zlotys (PLN).
Should I change money before I go?
Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Europe so there is no need to carry large sums of cash. There will be ATM’s throughout the places our tour takes in, but for the best rate exchanging some money before your trip is a good idea.
How much should I budget per day for extras?
Around £40 - £60 a day should be plenty, but this is guidance only as you know your spending patterns better than we do.
Is it customary to tip?
Yes tipping in Europe is very common. For restaurants and bars giving a 10% tip is fairly normal, but tips are not compulsory and are entirely at your own discretion. Then for your guide and driver, it is customary, though not compulsory to tip them around £5 - £7 a day, this would normally be given at the end of the adventure and is completely up to you and whether you feel they have earnt it.
