Should I change money before I go?
It is best to change your money before you leave in order to secure a good rate, however, it will be possible to change your money locally either at the airport or at a registered currency exchange. You can also withdraw cash from ATM’s or pay with any major credit cards, (although some places won’t take Amex).
How much should I budget per day for extras?
Around $50 a day should be plenty, but this is just a guide, as you know your spending patterns better than we do. If you would like to buy gifts and souvenirs, remember to budget extra for these.
Is it customary to tip?
It is customary to tip in Argentina, generally 10% for good service in restaurants.
It is also customary, though not compulsory, to tip your guide and driver around $5 a day. This would normally be given at the end of the adventure and is completely up to you and whether you feel they have earned it.
