What should I pack?
There will be a thorough packing list on your Tineri app that we will send in advance of your trip.
But as a general rule, the days are hot and humid and we recommend light, comfortable cotton shirts.
Light rainwear is a must as invariably there will be encounters with rain.
Thin or lightweight long-sleeved shirts and long trousers will protect you from mosquitos in the evenings.
What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?
You'll need grippy lightweight shoes that you don't mind getting wet.
A torchlight or better still a head torch is always useful.
What's the luggage allowance?
We recommend bringing one large bag and one piece of hand luggage. The internal flight weight limit is 20kgs, so please ensure that your large bag weighs no more than this. If your bag weighs more than this, you will be charged a fee by the airline.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
A suitcase is fine – just keep in mind the weight allowances for internal flights. You might want to have a smaller backpack for the 2-night excursions upriver, so you can leave the main luggage at the hotel in town.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
The 3-pin electrical sockets used in Malaysia are similar to those used in the UK. Travel adaptors are available from the city hotels, but we recommend you bring your own to ensure availability.
