What should I pack?
There will be a thorough packing list on your Tineri app that we will send in advance of your trip. Generally, you’ll need to pack sunblock, mosquito repellent, loose-fitting clothes for the bike rides and ninja training, layers for warmth and shoes suitable for hiking. Generally, people are well presented and fashionable in Japan so clothing you are happy and comfortable to explore a city in.
What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?
You won’t need anything outside of the ordinary, just make sure you have shoes suitable for hiking, in that they have good grip and you aren’t afraid of them getting a little muddy.
What's the luggage allowance?
One large bag and a day bag should be okay, but please check with your airline when booking flights.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
Both suitcases and backpacks are suitable, depending on your preference. As most of the terrain will be flat and paved, wheely bags would be more convenient - just make sure you are comfortable carrying the weight up and downstairs as there are limited lifts and escalators in train stations.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
Japan uses type A plugs, which are two flat pins, similar to the North American system, you will need an adaptor if you come from a country that does not use this system.
What happens to my luggage in between excursions?
Your luggage will stay inside the hotel during day excursions, or you will bring it along as we travel to the next destination.
