What time do the activities start on each day?
This will depend on the itinerary for the day. You will have an itinerary included in your app before you travel, and your guide will go through it with you at the welcome meeting.
How long is each activity?
This may vary according to the activity, however the app will give you a rough idea of how long each activity is and your guide is there to advise locally.
Will the cooking class cater to my allergies/diet?
Yes, however please make sure our happiness team is aware of your allergies before you arrive so that we can inform the right people on the adventure and make sure to pack any medications you may need.
I suffer from altitude sickness, is this trip for me?
The treks do not ascend to high altitudes, so you shouldn’t be affected by any altitude sickness. But always bring any medication that you think you may think you may, better to be prepared.
What do I need to carry during the trek?
There will be a full packing list in your app before you depart.
But it’s a good idea to have in your day pack, sunglasses, sun-cream, lip balm, a hat, gloves, snacks, water and a water or windproof jacket.
Will the luggage I’m not carrying be transported to each hotel?
Your luggage will be transported to each hotel on days when you’re hiking to the next location and the luggage will stay there until your departure.
What hiking kit do I need?
There will be a full packing list in your app before you depart but you will need hiking boots with a strong heel.
What is the difficulty level of each trek?
The Glacier trek and the trek in El Chalten are both a moderate difficulty level with no previous experience needed. However you should not do these activitities if you have any injury or are not comfortable being on your feet for most of the day.
How long does each trek take?
The length of each activity will be outlined in your app. The treks will be dependent on the experience and pace of the group, which your guide will take into consideration. The trek in El Chalten will change distance depending on the group and the weather on that day.
Is there time built into the hikes to acclimatise to the altitude?
The hikes are not at altitude and so there will be no need to acclimatise.
How cold does it get at each stage of the ascent?
The elevations of the hikes are quite moderate so the temperature change will only be minor, you may feel a cooler breeze but not significantly colder.
I don't drink alcohol, is this trip for me?
There will be times when we might go to a cool bar or try some wine at a vineyard but there will always be non-alcoholic options available too.
I've never been horse-riding, will there be a guide?
You don’t need any horse-riding experience as there will be a guide with the group to assist you. Do make sure you let the guide know that you have no horse riding experience beforehand.
