Do I need to get any vaccinations before travelling?
We can’t give out medical advice, but the W.H.O do have some recommended vaccinations for people travelling to Vietnam. They are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza.
Am I travelling to a Malarial area?
Certain rural areas in Vietnam are considered malarial zones and there are very rare cases in Mekong and Red River Deltas. There is no risk in the cities and estimated relative risk for travellers is low. If you would like more information, please get in touch with one of our Trip Experts.
What fitness levels do I need for this trip?
All of the outdoor activities will be suitable for beginners, so only a moderate level of fitness is required. If you enjoy walking, do the off yoga session or swim a few lengths of the pool on holiday, you have nothing to worry about.
