Do I need to get any vaccinations before travelling?
The W.H.O do have some recommended vaccinations for visiting these countries. It’s a great idea to visit your doctor or a travel clinic before travelling.
Which vaccinations do I need?
We can’t give out medical advice, but the W.H.O do have some recommended vaccinations for people travelling to these areas. These include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza.
Am I travelling to a Malarial area?
In the urban and southern areas of Thailand, Malaria is not present. In more rural areas the risk of malaria is low but as we are only travelling in the south, the risk is very low.
