What items do I need to purchase that are not part of an everyday wardrobe?
We’ll provide you with a list of packing suggestions prior to your departure to Rwanda. Important items to remember include trekking boots, trekking trousers and gaiters suitable for forest walking. Also, plastic bags are illegal in Rwanda, so please bring reusable bags and stuff sacks instead.
What should I pack?
All the activity-specific equipment will be provided during your adventure and a list of packing suggestions will be available before your trip. Outside of clothing, items that you may want to bring include a head torch, binoculars, a refillable water bottle and a camera.
Sun protection such as sun-cream, a hat and sunglasses are very important in Rwanda. Insect repellant will also come in handy.

What's the luggage allowance?
We advise limiting your luggage to one large bag up to 20kg and one small day bag. It’s important that you are able to comfortably carry your luggage with you.
Can I bring a suitcase or do I need a backpack?
Both suitcases and backpacks are accepted on your transfers, so it’s up to you what bag you bring.
What plugs are used, do I need to bring a travel adaptor?
In Rwanda, the power plugs are of type C and J, meaning that a 2-prong standard European plug will fit the plug sockets. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
