What time do the activities start on each day?
This will vary day-to-day, however, the morning is the best time to do a lot of the activities, so expect a few early morning starts. A full itinerary will be made available before your adventure begins.
Are all of the activities suitable for beginners?
Yes, previous knowledge is not required for any of the activities on this trip.
Can I take part in water activities with a life vest if I can’t swim?
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take part in the kayaking if you can’t swim. You will be able to enjoy the scenery from a support boat with your Pack Leader.
Will the life jackets fit me?
Wearing a life jacket whilst kayaking is a legal requirement in Rwanda. The sizes of the life jackets that will be supplied will range from XS to XXL and the largest life jacket fits a chest size up to 126 cm / 50”. What is there to do during free time?
In Kigali, you could go shopping or visit a local cafe and watch the world go by. In Gisenyi, you could walk along the beachfront or head into the countryside and soak up the views. You could also turn your hand to stand-up paddleboarding at Serena Hotel.
How do I book trip extensions?
We currently do not have any extensions for this adventure, all activities are included. If you have any ideas on an extension you think Flash Pack should offer, please let us know. Do also remember that your Pack Leader is an invaluable resource of local knowledge. If you’re planning further travel after your trip, they'll be able to offer great recommendations.
