What's the weather like?
Zimbabwe and Botswana lie just south of the equator and therefore they make great winter escape locations. They are warm and sunny all year round, with average temperatures in the high 20°s (around 80°F). It’s worth remembering that from April to September the evenings can get cold, so if you’re travelling during these months, be sure to bring some warmer layers.
During spring (September and October), the weather changes as winter makes way for summer. The air becomes hotter and temperatures increase both during the day and at night.
In the hot summer months (November to March), expect occasional thunderstorms that pass quickly. Rain jackets are recommended for these heavy afternoon downpours.
