Do I need to get any vaccinations before travelling?
Vaccinations are not compulsory for entering Guatemala, but they are recommended by the W.H.O. It’s a great idea to visit your doctor or a travel clinic before travelling.
Which vaccinations do I need?
We can’t give out medical advice, but the W.H.O do have some recommended vaccinations for people travelling to Guatemala. They include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, rabies, yellow fever, malaria and other routine vaccinations.
Am I travelling to a Malarial area?
Guatemala is a low-risk malarial area. Malaria has been present in some, mainly rural, areas. We strongly advise using mosquito repellant at all times.
