Do I need to get any vaccinations before travelling?
Vaccinations are not compulsory for entering Peru, but they are recommended by the W.H.O. It’s a great idea to visit your doctor or a travel clinic before travelling.
Which vaccinations do I need?
We can’t give out medical advice, but the W.H.O do have some recommended vaccinations for people travelling to Peru. They include Hepatitis A, B, Typhoid, Yellow fever, meningitis, polio, measles, MMR, TDAP, shingles, chicken pox, pneumonia and influenza.
Am I travelling to a Malarial area?
The risk of malaria in Peru is low, but we recommend speaking to a travel clinic before you travel.
What fitness levels do I need for this trip?
For the active elements of this trip, you will need to have a reasonable fitness level. The treks are rated as moderate, so as long as you can comfortably walk for over an hour, you’ll be fine.
